ALLI K DESIGN
Alli quickly went from client to friend. Our mutual love for sweet tea and her obsession with Chick-Fil-A caused us to instantly connect. I had the opportunity to work on two projects with Alli - the copywriting for her website and copywriting and editing her book. With both projects, Alli had a clear purpose and vision right from the start. Her only setback was her confidence in her writing ability.
Alli and I talked on the phone for hours, and I took detailed notes as she told me about herself, her services, and goals for her website. This was how I was able to capture the essence and personality of Alli in the writing. My goal with each client is to create an end product that truly represents the client or business, and one major step in doing that is getting to know the client by listening to the way they speak and getting into the language they use.
For Alli's book, Modern Florals 101, I simply walked through the illustration process of her floral designs and carefully crafted her explanations into step by step instructions. Alli was able to break down each of her floral designs into individual steps while I transcribed, tailored, and edited her words into clear instructions. The goal of the book was to inspire artistic confidence in every reader by providing them with both a visual and a step by step guide for how to draw modern florals.
