I have now had the opportunity to work on three projects (going on four) with the founder and managing director of TYG Consulting, Peter Yobo. TYG Consulting introduces a new twist on the traditional business consulting firm. When talking to Peter, we discussed the great shift that is happening in every aspect of our world today, especially the business world. Therefore, Peter, who had previously worked for a Big 4 consulting firm, decided to leave his job there and embark on a new business venture.
When discussing this great change happening in the business world, I asked Peter to tell me how TYG Consulting would stand apart from all the other business consulting firms who are practicing the traditional methods of consulting. Peter gave a great analogy in his answer that became the foundation of the writing. He compared TYG to a SWAT team. He said that they were an experienced and well-trained team that would get the job done well and efficiently. Combining that analogy with some of the core values Peter shared about TYG, I was able to create a strong statement for the company.
The effectiveness and experience of a major consulting firm, the energy and enthusiasm of a start-up, and the efficiency of a SWAT team.
From the creation of that one statement, the rest of the writing flowed smoothly and effortlessly. Sometimes one strong statement can serve as a beautiful foundation for the rest of the writing.
